Our cozy and inviting apartments are a perfect match to an extended weekend with your love. Furnitshed to a high standard, very well equipped kitchen, if you will prepare a romantic dinner, nice bathroom and good outside areas.


We can help with info about the best restaurants in the area, or the most local restaurants.

Or maybe the nicest views, best picnic place, walk to water falls, hidden gems, best markets etc.


You can easily spend a week in the area, exploring all the secrets.


From our apartments, you can walk to Porlezza city center along the lake, you can walk to cafées, restaurants, supermarkets and shops.


On saturday Porlezza have a highly recommendet market with veggies, fruit, meat, cheese, sausages, clothes, shoes, bags, flowers. All local comes to town to do their shopping, meet neighbours, and have an aperitivo on the local bar.


If you want more international city life for a day, you can visit Lugano (SCH) (15 km) or Milan (90 km). 12 km. away you find Menaggio on the shore of Lago di Como, frem there, you can take af ferry to all the small cities by the lago di Como and to Como city.

Skiing



November, 2022

If you like to ski, without being a totally pro, you can reach a couple of ski lifts in appr. 1,5 hour from Porlezza. We have heard, that the best of the nearest is Piani de Bobbio - https://www.pianidibobbio.com/en/ski-area

which is 50 km + a ferry over the Lake Como, away.


A super day with the family in the snow (during the winter season).

October, 2022

Within a distance of 25 km from Porlezza, you can reach three different 5***** golf courses, one of them in Switzerland, near Lugano.


We are not golfers our selves, so i'm not aware if the 5-star is for the course OR for the food and wine in the club restaurant!

But we all know that food is a very important life issue in Italy .....

Lago di piano



September, 2022

We would very much like to recommend a hike to and/or round Lago di Piano. The area around the lake, the wildlife and the lake has been designated as a protected natural area. There's a path around the lake and the route is not difficult but, on the other hand, incredibly beautiful.

You can start the trip in Piano Carlazzo, where the lake – Lago di Piano – is close to the road and where there is a parking space. There's also a small restaurant here, where you can end the trip with a pizza and a cold beer.


If you want lots of km. in your legs, you could start from Porlezza, find the nature trail that follows the disused railway and then carry on around til lake.


Or "just" walk from Porlezza to the nature museum at the shore of Lago di Lugano and return.

Well still not autumn, but this is just to inspire you to come to Porlezza - also - during autumn.


Our apartments in Porlezza have central heating, so if it's a chilly day, you can turn on the heat, but both September and first half of October are BEAUTIFUL month with temperatures up to 25 dgr. in the sun and people swimming in the lago de Lugano 😊


After the long, hot summer, it is now possible to actually do something physical, without only doing it in the shade. You can easily sit and have your lunch outside, and in Italy the evenings do not get shorter (though colder when the sun is gone) in autumn, as they do f.i. in Denmark.

Is it your dream to invite the family on a vacation in Italy?


We could be the place, as the area and city (Porlezza) has facilities for all ages.


In front of the villas there's a lush lawn with old trees, where you can play football, petanque, badminton etc.

You'll find two playgrounds, a free beach and a beach club.

And a camping site with pool are situated just 8 minutes walk away from here.


Within 5 minutes you'll reach the city center with shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants and - not at least - the saturday market where all locals come.


If you are booking 3-4 or 5 apt outside the high season we can offer a discount.

And we can offer you to help with contacts, arranging to gather to garden furniture etc.

Welcome to villette a lago



June, 2022

In 2021 we began planning the renovation of our 5 apartment. As COVID19 was a part of the life, every thing took a bit longer than originally planed - but as per july, 1 - 2022 we had our first rentals.


We fell in love with Porlezza and the area because the possibilities for outdoor life is countless. There is something for every taste: Golf courses, mountain bike trails, nature trails, local markets, water sports, beautiful old churches and still not far from the international cities of Milan and Lugano.


The local area provide classic local food, in small restaurants and cafés. As well as a weekly market if you like to cook.


Porlezza is a very local place, unspoiled you might say. Most of the the people you meet are from here, grew up here, or married into a family here, which somehow makes the vibe quite stress free and easy going. It’s a simple easy life here, and it reflects on the people.


We want share this with you by offering a charming, cosy opportunity to live near the lake in these lovely surroundings, where basic needs are met with easy well equipped and well decorated "homes-away-from-home".
